The watch shape takes its cues from the original Seiko ‘Alpinist,’ first launched in 1959 for Japanese ‘Yama-otoko’ mountain men, to be reliable in treacherous terrain. The limited edition ,within the Prospex Land collection, is designed for practicality. It’s powered by the Seiko in-house Automatic 6R movement with highly visible lumibrite on the dial and hands – easy to see in any light – with a power reserve of 70 hours and Sapphire crystal with magnified glass.
